Oakton Man, 50, Sentence on Child Pornography Charge

A 50-year-old Oakton man has been sentenced to 88 months in prison after authorities said they found over 2,000 child pornography files on his computer. 

Michael Cronin pleaded guilty in July of this year. According to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia, undercover agents found Cronin using a peer-to-peer file sharing program to share child pornography images and videos.

Authorities obtained a search warrant of his computer and they subsequently found the images, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
