Heidi is a native of Vienna, where she grew up on a quaint farm surrounded by suburbia. She enjoys the small-town vibe of living in Vienna with her two dogs Flip, a jack Russell Terrorist, and the recently-adopted Tiki, the counter-surfing "Schnoodle."

With an extensive background in and currently working within the association arena, she spends her spare time volunteering as vice president of GoodDogz.org, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping homeless dogs find their forever homes.

Her parents, sisters and brother all live in Northern Virginia, and have grown used to her obsessive dog-centric behavior.
