Driver Charged In Accident At Flint Hill
Twenty-year-old driver charged after allegedly hitting crossing guard Monday
A 20-year-old Vienna woman was charged this week for failure to obey fulltime attention after a Monday morning accident that sent a Flint Hill Elementary School crossing guard to the hospital. The crossing guard was allowing a child to cross the road around 8:30 a.m. Monday when a 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse made a right turn from Vale Drive onto Flint Hill Road, Fairfax County Police Department Spokeswoman Lucy Caldwell said. The vehicle did not stop in time The guard was wearing her traffic vest and hat, Caldwell said, and was taken to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries. No children were injured. Police did not release the driver's name.

Wow, I was told it was a Madison HS student, and that the crossing guard saw that the car was coming toward her and wasn't stopping so she quickly tried to back up to avoid being hit when she tripped and then the genius driver ran over her leg and broke it. Some Viennians are such entitled reckless drivers. I feel bad for the crossing guard. I heard she's been complaining about how dangerous that… more ›
