Maryland man convicted of robbing four banks in Fairfax County
A Maryland man was sentenced to about 92 years in prison for robbing four banks in Fairfax County earlier this year. Edward Martin Andrews, 47, of Oxon Hill, Md., was found guilty Oct. 26 of four counts of bank robbery, four counts of carrying a weapon during a crime of violence, and four counts of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. Judge Leonie Brinkema, who presided over the case, recommends Andrews serve his time — a sentence of 1,105 months — in the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Ky., where he has previously served time.
