Vienna 13-15s Top Manatee County in First Game at Regionals

The Vienna 13-15s beat Manatee County, Florida 9-5 in their first game at the Southeast Regionals in Ocala, Fla.

Ocala, Fla. — The Vienna 13-15 All Stars came out slugging against Manatee County, dropping four runs on the South Florida State Champions in the first inning. Manatee, which includes the Tampa suburb of Bradenton, could not climb out of the hole and ended up losing to Vienna 9-5.

Garrett Zoukis and Jagger James paced the offense, Brandon Miskell and Chris Anzilotti took care of the pitching, and nice plays from Bradley Cazenas and Owen Socher led the way on defense for Vienna.

Vienna's next game is 3 p.m. Friday against Lumber River, the East North Carolina State Champions. Lumber River, which is based in the city of Lumberton, is south of Fayetteville. East N.C. won their first game 7-2 over Lexington, Tenn., the West Tennesee State Champions.
