The A's officially announced the signing of Cuban superstar Yoenis Cepsedes.

Nationals pitcher Stephen Strasburg tossed 2 2/3 innings of two-run ball in his spring debut against the Astros.

Brewers outfielder Corey Hart will undergo surgery for a torn meniscus in his knee. He will miss 3 to 4 weeks.

Twins pitcher Joel Zumaya opted for Tommy John surgery and will miss the 2012 season.

Blue Jays pitcher Jesse Litsch will miss six weeks with shoulder inflammation.

The Braves gave up nine home runs in an 18-3 loss to the Tigers. Julio Teheran gave up six of them in two innings.

Mariners pitcher Jason Vargas tossed four perfect innings against the Padres.
