Quote of the Day

"For me, it's a no-brainer -- I'm not scared.  I don't think I'm going to fail, but I'm not scared to come back.  I'm not worried about that.  I'm going to trust that I know in my heart I'm doing the right thing.  And I'm hoping and praying that it's going to be great".  ~Andy Pettitte on his decision to come out of retirement.

Veteran Yankee Andy Pettitte announced that he is coming out of retirement and signed a minor league deal with the Yankees.

Padres outfielder Carlos Quentin will have knee surgery and miss four weeks.

Royals catcher Salvador Perez will also have knee surgery but will miss 12-14 weeks.

Hey man, how do you think the Phillies will do this season in the NL East?
Zack Silverman March 25, 2012 at 06:11 PM
It's hard to tell because of all the injuries. Howard, Utley and Polanco are all battling injuries and though I think they can push through them, those are three core guys on an aging team. After 2012, I think the Phillies are going to start heading downhill.
