Daily Baseball Update: 8/4

Casey McGehee made headlines, Dan Uggla keeps raking, Matt Garza returned to form, and Gavin Floyd had a day to forget. If you like asterisks, take a look back at Barry Bonds' 755th home run.

Did You Know

Casey McGehee's game yesterday was big on multiple levels. Of course, anyone would be happy with 3 home runs, but McGehee hadn't hit a single home run since July 6th, spanning 76 at bats. Even with that July 6th home run, he had only one home run since May 20th, spanning 220 at bats. With the three homer game, McGehee saw his home run total for the season shoot up from 5 to 8, though he has a long way to go to match last year's 23.
