Daily Baseball Update: 8/13

Multiple records were set from the consecutive solo home run record to the Braves hitting streak record. Stephen Strasburg made another start and is right on track to return.

Did You Know

Yesterday, the Giants hit their 20th straight solo home run, breaking the MLB record formerly held by the 1914 Phillies. That means there has not been a man on base for each of the last 20 San Francisco home runs. Pablo Sandoval led with 6 of the 20, while Aubrey Huff hit 3, Cody Ross, Nate Schierholtz, Eli Whiteside, and Aaron Rowand hit 2, and Miguel Tejada, Brandon Belt, and Chris Stewart added one apiece. Schierholtz has the most recent multi-run home run, a two-run shot off of Dustin Moseley on July 6th.
