Highest Last Name (Alphabetical): David Aardsma. Aardsma, in fact, is still active in the major leagues. After a solid rookie season in 2006 with the Cubs in which he posted a 4.08 ERA through 45 appearances, Aardsma fell off a bit, posting 6.40 and 5.55 ERA's in 2007 and 2008 respectively. He rebounded for a breakout season in 2009 with the Mariners, saving 38 games with a 2.52 ERA and just a .190 BAA. He was again the Mariners' closer in 2010, saving 31 games 3.44 ERA and .198 BAA. He spent all of last season on the 60-day DL. Over his career, he is 13-15 with a 4.20 ERA and 69 saves.

Forty-three years later on this day (2004), Ichiro Suzuki slaps hit No. 258 into the SAFECO Field infield, setting the new single season hit record. He would finish with 262.
