One pitcher continued a historic stretch of dominance, the Roger Clemens ruling was issued, and a second baseman hit for the cycle.

Did You Know

R.A. Dickey is on a historical streak.  He has not allowed an earned run since May 22, a stretch of 42.2 innings including three shutouts. The Mets team record is 49 innings, set by Dwight Gooden in 1985. That year, Gooden finished 24-5 with a 1.53 ERA at just 20 years old. Dickey is 11-1 with a 2.00 ERA at 37 years old.  Dickey is also the first pitcher in major league history to throw five straight starts, not allow an earned run, and strike out at least eight in each. Since May 17, his ERA has dropped from 3.75 to 2.00.
