Week Ahead: Holocaust Survivor Speaks, Pumpkin 5k, Job Fair

A peek at events happening this week in and around Oakton.

Holocaust survivor Monique Saigal will speak about her experience and those of the French resistance movement at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Fairfax on 2709 Hunter Mill Road in Oakton. 

The Vienna-area branch of the American Association of University Women is hosting a meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Patrick Henry Library on 101 E. Maple Avenue in Vienna. The meeting will discuss the organization’s philanthropic efforts. 

Sign up for the Anthem Great Pumpkin 5k Saturday at the Reston Town Center. In addition to the 5k, the event also includes a Pumpkin Smash Mile and Kids Pumpkin Dash. Find out how to participate.

Meet with over 50 employers at the Arlington Employment Center’s Fall Career Fair. The fair is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at George Mason University’s Founders Hall on 3351 Fairfax Drive in Arlington. Register online.
