Volleyball: Huskies Keep Win Streak Alive

Flint Hill notches 10th win of the season

The Flint Hill volleyball team has pushed its win streak to four games, defeating Paul VI Catholic High 3-0 on Monday night.

The sweep (25-17; 25-17; 25-17) coincided with the first state rankings of the season, which placed the Huskies at the top of the list of Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association Division I teams. Paul VI is ranked eighth. 

Ally Ford led the Huskies on Monday with 14 kills. Haley McClure, Michelle Abt and Erica Narel had solid games with eight, eight and six kills, respectively. Narel also had three blocks, while Abt added one block of her own.

Allie Fellows led her team in assists with 24, and Becca Ploetz tallied 10. 

The Huskies (10-1) next face Sidwell Friends (0-4) at 5:45 p.m. Thursday at home.
