Tennis: Oakton Boasts Singles District Champs

Katie Clark and Danny Naja each earned first place in their respective Concorde District tennis tournaments Thursday, giving Oakton High School both singles champions for girls and boys tennis.

The win (2-6, 6-3, 6-1) against Chantilly's Sara Segalini gives Clark, a junior, her third straight singles district title.

Clark also teamed with senior Alina Suyama against Chantilly's Segalini and Akua Donkor in the doubles tournament for their third straight district title (6-1, 6-4). 

Naja, a senior in his first year playing with Oakton, defeated Chantilly's Conor Moran for his title win (6-4, 6-2) Thursday. 

Both the boys and girls teams will compete in the Northern Region tournament, which begins May 14.
