Swimming: Flint Hill Defeats Bullis

Boys and girls have strong performance against Bullis; girls fall to Georgetown Visitation.

The Flint Hill School boys and girls swimming teams notched big wins against Bullis on Wednesday night.

The boys' team defeated Bullis 112-45. The girls' team also defeated Bullis 101-57, but lost to a very strong Georgetown Visitation team 109-66, spokesperson McClain Bell said.

  • Junior Zach Thornburg won the 200 freestyle
  • Senior Jonah Chang won the 100 butterfly and 500 freestyle
  • Junior Eric Tang won the 100 freestyle and 100 breaststroke. 
  • The 400 freestyle relay of Junior Tristan Timblin, Sophomore Tucker Reilly, Freshman Lachlan Suter and Senior Joey Griffiths won its event
  • The 200 freestyle relay of Thornburg, Tang, Timblin and Chang won its event
  • The 200 medley relay of Tang, Thornburg, Chang and Timblin won its event.

For the girls:

  • Senior Rachel Swarts won both the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke
  • Freshman Lauren Freeman won the 100 breaststroke.
  • The 400 freestyle relay of Senior Natalie Brendsel, Swarts, Senior Anna Lombardo and Freeman also won its event.
