A wrestler must dedicate large amounts of time to perfect his skills and condition his body to reach the All-State level," said Frank Notarangelo. "Matt Notarangelo and Eddie Gerow are to be lauded for their achievements on the mat. Wrestling has prepared them for the rest of their lives."
Both Oakton wrestlers earned All-State honors. Notarangelo advanced to the semifinal match and captured fourth place. Gerow made it to the quarterfinals and battled to seventh place.
Notarangelo placed third in the Concorde District championships and third in the region championships. Gerow placed second in districts and third in regions.
