Oakton Football Names Rowley as Head Coach

Jason Rowley served as interim head coach in 2011 season

When Jason Rowley took over as the interim head coach after Joe Thompson stepped down weeks before the start of the football season, he hoped it would lead to a permanent position.

"I've been at Oakton for a long time," Rowley said in a July interview. "This is my dream job, it's the job that I want."

On Friday, Oakton High announced Rowley will shed "interim" from his title and take full control of the team.
