Huskies Nominated for WUSA 9's Game of the Week

This Friday's Flint Hill Huskies football game against Bishop Ireton High has been nominated for WUSA 9's Toyota Game of the Week.

The undefeated Huskies, ranked No. 4 in the state, will host the No. 1 Cardinals at 4 p.m. Friday.

If the Huskies win the vote, a photographer will cover the game and highlights will air during the 11 p.m. broadcast.

Voters will also be able to choose the games Suitland at DuVal, Eleanor Roosevelt at Laurel, Friendly at Forestville, and Theodore Roosevelt at Wilson. As of Monday night, Suitland at Duval led the race with 46.2 percent of the vote. Flint Hill-Bishop Ireton followed with 41.7 percent.

Voting is open through 10 p.m. Thursday. The winner will be announced on-air Thursday night.
