The Flint Hill Huskies could not overcome the Paul VI Catholic Panthers , and this time it kept the girls from a third-place finish in the 10th annual Bulldog Bash on Thursday.
Unlike the first face-off between the teams, this time the Huskies kept pace with the Panthers for the first half of the game to enter halftime down 24-23.
But the Panthers came back in the third period with a vengeance, outscoring the Huskies 23-11 in the third period and then 12-3 in the fourth to put the final score at 59-37.

Katherine Doyle led her team with 12 points, closely followed by Alex Long who posted 10.
The Huskies wound up in the consolation game after a tumultuous first two days in the tournament. On Tuesday, they went into overtime against Freedom High after the Eagles put up a buzzer-beating two-point shot to tie the game. But the Huskies responded with a shutout performance in overtime to defeat the Eagles 47-37. On Wednesday, they gave up an early lead to Westfield to lose 47-42 in the end.
