Flint Hill defeats Stone Ridge in the Independent School League tourney's opening round

The Flint Hill Huskies advanced to the Independent School League semifinals with a 62-51 win over Stone Ridge on Friday.

The Huskies locked their victory in the second period, in which they outscored the Gators 23-9.

Three Huskies scored in the double-digits, with Nicole Freeman leading the way at 19. Alex Long posted 18 points, while Shea Patrick netted 11.
