Four Oakton Students Named First Team All-Met

Twenty-two athletes from Oakton High, Flint Hill School earn distinctions

The Washington Post released their picks for the spring 2012 All-Met rosters Sunday, and Oakton's schools contribute a few names.

Four Oakton students were given first team honors for their sports: Allison Davis (softball), Carly Palmucci (girls lacrosse), Ahmed Ismail (boys soccer) and Michael Becker (boys rowing). 

Davis, starting pitcher for the Cougars, went 15-4 with a 0.32 ERA and notched 187 strikeouts in 134 innings. She posted a .435 batting average.

Palmucci scored 46 goals and tallied 55 assists as an attack for the

Ismail, a defenseman for the Oakton boys soccer team, scored four goals and led a squad that had 0.92 GAA in the regular season.

Three athletes, all female, earned a spot on the All-Met Second Team rosters for their sports:

  • Emily Corridon, softball, Oakton
  • Jackie Rupp, girls lacrosse, Oakton
  • Danielle Fitzgerald, girls soccer, Oakton

The Honorable Mentions included 16 athletes from both Oakton High and Flint Hill School:

  • Sean Schweiker, boys lacrosse, Oakton
  • Alex Weaver, girls soccer, Oakton
  • Katherine Coyer, girls soccer, Oakton

  • Allie Klimkiewicz, girls track and field, Oakton
  • Danny Naja, boys tennis, Oakton
  • Andrew Falter, boys rowing, Oakton
