Flint Hill Teams Swim School Records

The girls team ranked their highest in school history.

Flint Hill swimmers won personal bests and qualified for finals in the VISAA championship meet in Richmond Feb. 16. The girls team finished in seventh place, their best in school history, while the boys placed 22nd.

All nine Flint Hill swimmers who competed in the events swam personal bests. Six of the swimmers qualified for finals.

  • Senior Rachel Swarts: All-State for third-place finish in 100 butterfly.
  • Senior Natalie Brendsel: All-State for third-place finish in 100 freestyle. 
  • Freshman Lauren Freeman: New school record in 100 breastroke, finished sixth.
  • Girls' 200 free relay team of Swarts, Brendsel, Freeman and sophomore Logan Cunningham: New school record, finished sixth.
  • Girls' 400 free relay team of Swarts, Brendsel, Freeman and senior Anna Lombardo: New school record, finished seventh.
  • Boys' relay team of junior Zack Thornburg, junior Eric Tang, junior Tristin Timblin and senior Jonah Chang: New school record in the 200 medley.
