Cross-Country: Oakton Girls, Boys Win District Titles
Girls continue reign over Concorde foes in running programs
The Oakton High School cross-country program bested its Concorde District rivals Thursday at Burke Lake Park to take the district title in both the girls and boys competitions.
Oakton's Allie Klimkiewicz earned first place for the girls, leading a pack of two other Cougars who ranked in the top 10. With this title, the girls running program has won six straight Concorde District titles.
The Cougars had four runners place in the top 10 for the boys competition and their fifth point-earner rank 11th, which helped edge out the second-place Chantilly Chargers.
