Centreville-Herndon Field Hockey Wins Game of the Week

Thursday contest selected from Concorde District matchups to be featured on Patch

Fans of Centreville and Herndon high school bolstered their field hockey teams this week, helping the Thursday faceoff win Patch's "Game of the Week" poll for the Concorde District.

The matchup beat out two other field hockey games and the Concorde District cross-country meet in the latest weekly poll to readers.

The Centreville Wildcats are 8-2, and the Herndon Hornets are 6-3 so far this season. The Hornets will host the 7:30 p.m. game Thursday.

The game will be featured on Patch later this week.
