Boys Lacrosse: Cougars Shut Out Cardinals

Oakton High now has winning record after starting season 0-3

Continuing their win streak, the Oakton High boys lacrosse team defeated the Bishop Ireton Cardinals 16-0 on Wednesday.

Pat Goulding led the Cougars with five goals, and Sean Schweiker tallied three goals and eight assists. Brian Oliver, Charlie Allen, Stenson Crews, Logan Ambrose, Richie Daum, Jeremy Marshall, Michael Durst and Drake Leonard also netted one goal each. Connor Anderson made 14 saves to shut out the Cardinals.

Schweiker leads the Cougars in goals and assists so far this season with 23 and 19, respectively.

The Cougars (4-3) have won four consecutive games. For their next game, they will host Yorktown at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
