Boys Lacrosse: Cougars Open District Play with Win

Oakton High defeats Centreville 15-8

In its sixth consecutive win, the Oakton High boys lacrosse team notched its first victory against a Concorde District opponent Friday with a dominant 15-8 final score.

Jack Harris led the Cougars with five goals. Sean Schweiker scored three goals, while Pat Goulding and Jeremy Marshall each added two. Michael Durst, Charlie Allen and Evan Lalande also added one goal each.

Goalkeeper Connor Anderson nabbed 17 saves in the win.

Earlier in the week, the Cougars defeated a nondistrict opponent, Yorktown High, 10-5. Harris tallied three goals, while Goulding netted two. Michael Gilooly, Cory Harris, Schweiker, Marshall, Lalande and Durst each added one. Anderson had 14 saves.

The Cougars will travel to Robinson for a game 7:15 p.m. Tuesday.
