Basketball: Flint Hill Loses to Sidwell Friends, Maret

Two close games Tuesday night.

Flint Hill basketball saw two tough losses Tuesday night.

First, the varsity girls' basketball team traveled to Sidwell Friends and lost in a close and hard fought game 49-51. Sidwell Friends scored to secure the lead in the last few seconds of the game.

The varsity boys' basketball team also lost at home last night in a close game against Maret, 40-51.

"The Huskies headed into the final period down 35-33 to highly ranked Maret, but struggled to score in the final eight minutes and fell 51-40," said coach Rico Reed. "Senior guard Ben Kase led Flint Hill with 8 points."

The next varsity girls' game is this Saturday home against Georgetown Visitation at 5:15 p.m. The next varsity boys' game is at St. Andrew's tomorrow at 6:00pm.
