Trayvon Martin Case to be Examined in George Mason University Course on Race, Politics

George Mason University students will examine the Trayvon Martin case as part of a course on race and politics,CBS-DC reports

The news station reported that the school's Sociology and Anthropology Department will offer the course called “Plessy to Martin: Race and Politics” starting this fall semester.

According to the course description on the GMU website, the course delves into everything from the landmark Brown v. Board of Education case to “how racial and cultural politics were driving forces in the public debates and controversies,” including the Trayvon Martin case.
