Oakton High School Athletes Sign Letters of Intent

Seven Cougar seniors celebrated their commitment to college and university athletic programs Wednesday

Seven senior athletes signed letters of to play at schools across the country next year in a short ceremony Wednesday at Oakton High School.

Some of those athletes will continue on as cougars together: Caroline and Katherine Coyer, twins who were key to the success of Oakton girls basketball program last winter, will both head to Villanova University.

Ty Carroll and and Alex Revel will both head to James Madison University, but for different sports: Carroll will suit up for Dukes baseball and Revel will join the university's lacrosse team.

The other athletes honored at the ceremony will play lacrosse at schools around the country: Carly Palmucci will play lacrosse at the University of Connecticut and Jackie Rupp will join the ranks at the University of Florida. Matt Dunwoody also heads to the sunshine state to play lacrosse at Tampa University.
