Flipped Learning Workshop

Register now for a one-day Flipped Learning workshop on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, hosted by the Flipped Learning Network ™

This is a highly-participatory event; not the traditional “sit & get” seminar, come ready to dive into the discussions, help create the agenda, and share your stories. Prior experience in flipping your class is NOT required, but a willingness to be open to increased job satisfaction, increased student learning, and some classroom chaos is mandatory!

Join your colleagues at this Virginia/ Maryland/Washington DC event at the Flint Hill Upper School, 3320 Jermantown Rd, Oakton, VA (in Fairfax County, easy access and free parking near 66 and the Beltway).

Aaron Sams, co-author of Flip Your Classroom: Reach every student in every class every day (ISTE/ASCD, 2102) will give the opening key note address and then lead a panel of practicing flipped educators. Talk with these subject specialists: calculus/algebra teacher Stacey Roshan, Bullis School*, Potomac, MD; chemistry teacher Kim Duncan, social studies teacher Emily Sanderson, and technologist Scott Lieberman, Flint Hill School*, Oakton, VA; Brian Hackett, instructional technologist, Forest Park High School, Prince William County, VA; and Abbe Parham, middle school math teacher at Prince George’s Country Schools, MD.

For further details, agenda, and to register, please visit  www.flippedlearning.org/virginia

Fee is $139 and includes a light breakfast and lunch.
A group discounts of 20% is available for 3 or more educators from a school/district who use one form of payment at time of registration.

Thank you to TechSmith for their support of these events and their donation of screen capture software to each participant (Camtasia and Snagit). Please specify PC or Mac when you register. Keys to the software will be sent a few days prior to each event. A value of $129-$149.
