"Beloved" Oakton High School Teacher Jeanine Musgrove Dies

A teacher from Oakton High School died Monday, school officials announced Wednesday.

In an email to the Oakton High School community Wednesday, principal John Banbury announced the unexpected death of "our beloved colleague and teacher" Jeanine Musgrove.

According to the email, Musgrove passed away Monday night at home.

Musgrove joined Oakton High School's faculty in 2006 as a biology teacher and has been serving as AP coordinator as well as participating in the Instructional Leadership Council.  

"A beloved and respected teacher, Jeanine cared deeply for her students, prioritized their engagement, and partnered with colleagues to make connections across the disciplines. She will be deeply missed by our entire community," Banbury said

School counselors will be available at Oakton High School for support.
