Readers' Choice: Best Coach in Oakton

Update: You nominated the best coaches at Oakton schools, and now, seven have moved on to the voting round of Patch's Readers' Choice 2012. 

Here's your chance to cast a vote for one of the following Oakton High coaches: Grif Barhight (boys lacrosse), Alisa Byers (cross-country, track and field), Jean Counts (girls lacrosse), Cheryl Meltz (dive), Fred Priester (girls basketball), Parker Ramsdell (swim) or Dane Underwood (crew).

Voting opens July 23 and continues through 11:59 p.m. Aug. 17. Only one vote per user. Tell your friends and family to log on to pick their favorite, too!

Has one coach racked up an impressive winning record? Or is there a coach in Oakton who has made a positive impact on young athletes that goes beyond a win-loss record?

We want to know which coach at an Oakton school, including Oakton High, should be dubbed the best in Oakton.

We'll keep accepting nominations through July 9. After that, nominations will be closed and we'll start the voting, so make sure to get in your favorites now.

All you need to do to nominate a coach is add his or her name in the comments below. If you already see the coach you want to nominate, make sure to add your comment about why s/he should be included. We may not be able to add all nominations to our poll, so make sure your favorite makes the cut.
