White House Crasher to Run for Governor

Tareq Salahi says he will run as a Republican to avenge lawsuit Cuccinelli brought against him

Tareq Salahi, who, with his estranged wife, Michaele, infamously crashed a White House state dinner in 2009, says he will run for governor of Virginia.

Salahi told The Washington Post Wednesday that he will run, as a Republican, to avenge a recent lawsuit brought against him by another GOP gubernatorial hopeful: Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli II.

Michaele Salahi is a 1984 graduate of Oakton High.
