Voter Registration Deadline Monday in Virginia

Make sure you are registered or your current registration is valid before the Oct. 15 deadline

If you haven’t yet registered to vote, the deadline is just a few days away.

Virginia officials have mailed out more than 4.6 million voter registration cards to residents. The State Board of Elections is telling voters who have not received a voter registration card to check their registration record at www.SBE.Virginia.gov.

Nationwide, an estimated 6 million people didn't vote in the 2008 elections because they either did not know how to register or because they missed the voter registration deadline.

If you have moved from the address on your voter registration card or changed your name, you need to re-register. (Instructions on how to do so are here.)
