Supervisors Expand Oakton Parking District

New spaces will be permit restricted across from Oakton High School.

The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors voted Tuesday to expand the Oakton Residential Permit Parking District to Marywood Road across from Oakton High School.

Extra signs for the district expansion will cost approximately $600 from Fairfax’s Department of Transportation funds, according to county documents. At least 60 percent of the petitioning addresses are from the proposed district, and another 50 percent are from within blocks of the new spaces.

Each petitioning address was required to pay a $10 fee for the application.
