The Fairfax County School Board said it would decide whether surveillance cameras would be allowed inside schools Jan. 1. If approved, the policy would expand Fairfax County Public Schools' use of cameras from being limited to the exterior to being permitted on the interior. Whether a school uses cameras would be up to each school's principal.
