"Town hall meetings are really the only way the delegate gets to speak with the public about their concerns beyond letters and e-mails, " said Christen Smith, a legislative aide. "He wants to hear from the community to get their ideas about what the legislative agenda should be."

Some of the topics the delegate is anticipating include  job creation and economic growth, transportation, education and illegal immigration, Smith said.

Del. LeMunyon will also reveal bills he may introduce during the legislative session.  The possible bills will involve matters such as congestion relief in Northern Virginia, in-state student enrollment at Virginia public colleges and universities and published voting records of Virginia House and Senate members.

"[LeMunyon] can hear residents' stories of how his legislation can affect the community," Smith said. "Last year a resident showed up to a town meeting and said she got a ticket for warming her car on the street, so he proposed last year to have that changed."
