Eastbound Dulles Toll Road (Route 267) to Close Thursday Night Only

On Thursday, July 7, closures on both the Dulles Toll Road and the Dulles International Airport Access Highway are scheduled.

The Access Road closing will be combined with a closing and detour of the eastbound Dulles Toll Road, also near Route 7. The toll road closing also will be a gradual closure and all times are approximate:
·8 p.m. - The three left lanes of the eastbound Toll Road will close near Route 7.
·10 p.m. - Eastbound toll road traffic will be switched on to the eastbound DIAAH.

Full Closure of Westbound I-66 at the Dulles Connector Road Split (Route 267) Overnight  July 8-9

Westbound I-66 will be closed at the Dulles Connector Road from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday, July 8 and Friday, July 9, so crews can install acoustical barriers at that junction. These closures will affect drivers bound for destinations along I-66 west of Arlington.

Thru traffic will be detoured on to the Dulles Connector Road westbound, then on to the Capital Beltway north, to a U-turn at Georgetown Pike to go south on the beltway. Drivers can then rejoin I-66 from the Beltway.

To avoid the closure, drivers bound for destinations inside the Capital Beltway may find alternate routes via other local westbound roads by exiting I-66 prior to the I-66/Dulles Connector Road split. For example, traffic bound for the Falls Church City/Broad Street and Idylwood areas can exit before the detour and use Route 29/Washington Street to connect with Broad Street (Route 7 west).
