ABC Stores Opening Sundays Starting July 1

Law allows ABC stores to open Sundays across Virginia where local ordinances do not prohibit it

The will be open from 1 to 6 p.m. Sundays starting July 1.

The Virginia General Assembly this past session approved a law that allowed the remaining 206 ABC stores that hadn't already been allowed to open Sundays to begin doing so July 1.

The only stores that won't be able to open are those in localities that have local ordinances prohibiting Sunday sales of alcohol. Fairfax County does not prohibit it.
