A Week Later: Oakton Roads Remain Blocked

Dominion Virginia Power estimates 274 customers in Fairfax County remain powerless after Friday's derecho, with one cluster of Oakton customers near Miller Road still without power as of 4 a.m. Friday morning.

Each morning, Dominion has released a list of streets where crews will be working to restore power. A work list for Friday has not yet been released. Oakton Patch will update this article with the information if Oakton locations are included on today's list.

As of about 1 a.m. Friday, the following roads in and around the Oakton-Vienna are closed because of debris, according to Virginia Department of Transportation's 511virginia.org:

• Rosehaven Street, near Spruce Street (Oakton)
• Birdfoot Lane, from Stuart Mill Road to Lawyers Road (Oakton-Vienna)
• Clarks Crossing Road, near Timberview Court (Vienna)
• Prince William Drive, from Coronado Terrace to Hamilton Drive (Mantua)
• Juniper Street, off Lee Highway (Merrifield)
