UPDATE: Police Say Two Cars Involved in Vale Crash

One minor injury in Thursday night accident

UPDATE (12:34 p.m. Jan. 13): Fairfax County Police said two vehicles were involved in the accident on Vale Road, not three.

A police spokesperson corrected the information Dispatch provided Thursday night, but could not provide full details of the accident because a full report has not been submitted.

One person involved in the accident was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, said Officer Shelley Broderick, a police spokesperson.

UPDATE (10:54 p.m.): Vale Road has opened to traffic.

Fairfax County Police received a report of a three-car accident on Vale Road, near Rifle Ridge Road, at 9:47 p.m. Thursday night.

Fairfax County Dispatch said one minor injury was reported and the road was closed down awaiting a tow truck.

As of 10:21 p.m., a portion of Vale Road was still closed to traffic.
