An Oakton man was arrested for embezzling more than $200,000 from a Falls Church defense contracting company, Fairfax County Police said.
Paul Kulgavin, 33, of Fox Vale Glen Court in Oakton, is accused of not repaying money acquired from his company after requesting advanced funding for two seminars that never ran, said Officer Don Gotthardt, a spokesperson for FCPD.
Fairfax County Police did not release the name of the company accusing Kulgavin of embezzlement.
Kulgavin, who is facing two charges of embezzlement for incidents in July 2012 and August 2011, was arrested Aug. 15 but did not serve jail time, according to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
A court date for his preliminary trial has been set for Oct. 15.
The previous information was supplied by the Fairfax County Police Department and, where charges were made, does not indicate a conviction. For questions about this article, email Nicole.Trifone@patch.com.
