Man Charged with Reckless Driving in Rte. 123 Crash

Four-vehicle crash on Chain Bridge Road in Oakton sends two to hospital

A man was charged with reckless driving Tuesday after he disregarded a stop sign, at the intersection of Chain Bridge Road and Blake Lane, police said.

Fairfax County Police charged Hyeong Suh, 23, with reckless driving. Police did not have Suh's address noted in the police report, said Officer Bud Walker, spokesperson for FCPD.

The crash sent two of the four drivers involved to Fairfax Inova Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Walker said.

At about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Suh was driving his 1997 Nissan Altima when he disregarded the stop sign on Blake Lane near Santini's and struck a 2008 Jeep in the right lane of northbound Chain Bridge Road (Route 123). The Jeep went airborne, and landed overturned in the left lane facing oncoming traffic, police said. A 2007 Toyota traveling behind the Jeep then struck it. As they rolled forward from impact, all three vehicles then struck a 2005 Lexus that had been traveling in front of them.

The drivers of the Jeep, a 46-year-old man, and the Lexus, a 36-year-old woman, were transported to Fairfax Inova Hospital. None of the four vehicles involved carried passengers.
