Man Arrested for DWI in Blake Lane Crash

Jorge Adonay Meva Caceres is being held in the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center

A Manassas man has been arrested for driving while intoxicated and driving on a suspended license after crashing into a utility pole in Oakton, police said.

Jorge Adonay Meva Caceres, 25, of Damascus Drive in Manassas is being held in the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center on a $5,000 bail, but he will not be released because he is an illegal immigrant on hold by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, according to a spokesperson with the detention center.

Caceres was arrested after driving his 1995 Lexus into a power pole on Gray Street off Blake Lane in Oakton on Monday morning, said Officer Shelley Broderick, a Fairfax County Police Department spokesperson.Β

Caceres was heading westbound on Blake Lane when his vehicle popped the curb on the right side of the road and struck the utility pole, in the area.

Caceres will appear in court for the DWI charge at 9:30 a.m. May 30.Β

The crash was called into emergency dispatch at 2:59 a.m. Monday. No injuries were reported.Β
