Fair Oaks Police Log: March 1-7

A summary of the latest incidents reported

Editor’s Note: Incident information was obtained from the Activity Report provided by Fairfax County Police Department’s Public Information Office. The incidents included are at the discretion of the PIO and are not to be considered all-inclusive.

For the week ending March 7, there were three major incidents and five larcenies and one vehicle theft included in the Fair Oaks District Activity Report. Fair Oaks District encompasses Oakton.

Major Incidents — Fair Oaks

Assault: Frying Pan Road/Sunrise Valley Drive, 3/1/12, 3:30 p.m. The victim blew his horn when another vehicle swerved into his lane. The other drive, Lamont Keith Hall, 39, of Gainsville allegedly forced the victim to stop. Both exited their vehicles and Hall reportedly hit the victim one time causing injury.

Indecent Exposure: 2400 block of River Birch Road, 3/7/12, 2:30 p.m. Officers were called when several children reported seeing a man urinating in public. The case is still under investigation.

Pedestrian Struck: 4200 block of Stringfellow Road, 3/7/12, 2:25 p.m. A teenager was crossing the street, apparently not in a cross walk. He was struck by a vehicle and received serious injuries.

Larcenies

  • 13500 Davinci Lane, computer tablet/Ipad from residence
  • 13600 Mclearen Road, cell phone from school
  • 5300 Tractor Lane, a painting from residence
  • 4600 West Ox Road, jumper cables from vehicle
  • 4700 West Ox Road, televisions from business

Vehicle Thefts

  • 4700 Warm Hearth Circle, Plymouth Voyager

Animal Control — Countywide

License and Rabies Violation: 5500 block of Malone Ridge Street, 3/4/12, 5:30 p.m. Officers responded to investigate maltreatment of a dog. The dog was ok, but the owner, Katie Eberhardt Roundtree, 24, could not provide any rabies or license information. She was charged accordingly.

Vienna Police Report

During a traffic stop at 11:35 p.m. March 5 near Park Street and Moore Avenue SE, police suspected the driver was impaired. After attempting to complete several field sobriety tests, the driver, Nicholas Frederick Gauthier, 18, of Oakton, was arrested for driving while intoxicated and possession of fictitious identification. A passenger in the vehicle, Austin Charles Day, 18, of Reston, was also arrested and charged with drunk in public and possession of fictitious identification. Gauthier was taken to Vienna Police Headquarters for breath analysis. After the analysis both men were transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
