For the week ending June 27, there were six larcenies, two major incidents and one vehicle theft included in the Fair Oaks District Activity Report. Fair Oaks District encompasses Oakton.

Contribute to Delinquency of Minor: 13900 block of Metrotech Drive, 6/25/12, 12:30 a.m. A manager at the store allegedly saw several people inside after closing. Martha Adkins, 38, of South Carolina was charged with unlawful entry and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. There were two 13-year-old girls who were turned over to Child Protective Services.
Burglary: 11700 block of Flemish Mill Court, 6/26/12, 3:30 p.m. The manager reported that someone entered the pool during the overnight hours and stole cash. Entry was made through a window.

Animal Control Division
Maltreat Animal: 8100 block of Fordson Road, 6/21/12, 2:45 p.m. Animal Control officers responded for a dog left in a car. The dog was checked by a veterinarian and is expected to be ok. The officer filed an Unfit Owner Petition against the juvenile owner of the dog.
Maltreat Animal: 14100 block of Lee Highway, 6/23/12, 12:25 p.m. Officers were called for a dog left in a hot car. Jeanette Rowello, 25, of Centreville, was charged with providing inadequate shelter and an Unfit Owner Petition was filed. The dog was taken to a veterinarian and treated.
Maltreat Animal: 12200 block of Price Club Plaza, 6/24/12, 3 p.m. Officers were called for a dog left in a car. The owner, Muzzammil Sayyid, 24, of Fairfax, was charged with providing inadequate shelter.
Maltreat Animal: 4700 block of West Ox Road, 6/27/12, 4:15 p.m. Animal Control officers were called for a dog locked in a car. The owner, Thomas Katina, 51, of Centreville, was charged with providing inadequate shelter.
Larcenies
- 2300 Dulles Corner Boulevard, stereo equipment stolen from a business
- 12100 Monument Drive, cash stolen from a business
- 12100 Garden Ridge Lane, license plate stolen from a vehicle
- 10200 Appalachian Circle, golf cart stolen from a business
- 3400 Valewood Drive, jewelry stolen from residence
- 13100 Cross Keys Court, wallet stolen from vehicle
Vehicle Theft
- 4400 Dixie Hill Road, Nissan Rogue (no year listed)
