For the week ending Jan. 11, there were 10 larcenies, two vehicle thefts and one major incident included in the Fair Oaks District Activity Report. Fair Oaks District encompasses Oakton.

Abduction/Possession of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony/Possession of a Firearm by a Noncitizen/Possession of False Documents/Brandishing a Weapon/Drunk in Public/Arrest: Police arrested a man for allegedly brandishing a gun and grabbing a 25-year-old woman working at the Backyard Bar & Grill at 13999 Metrotech Drive around 1:30 a.m. on Monday, January 9. Moris A. Rivera Vasquez, 24, of no fixed address, was charged with abduction, brandishing a firearm, possession of false documents, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a non-citizen and drunk in public. The victim did not require medical attention.
