Fair Oaks Police Log: Feb. 23-29

A summary of the latest incidents reported

For the week ending Feb. 29, there were two major incidents and 10 larcenies included in the Fair Oaks District Activity Report. Fair Oaks District encompasses Oakton.

Indecent Exposure: 13000 block of Fair Lakes Shopping Center, 2/25/12, 5:45 p.m. Store employees reported that someone allegedly exposed himself in an aisle where children were present. Jerome A. Fleming, 60 of Centerville, was arrested and charged with simulated masturbation.

Burglary: 3400 block of Jermantown Road, 2/29/12, 4:30 p.m. The victim reported someone entered the home and took jewelry and electronic equipment. Forced entry was made through the front door.

Animal Control Division — Countywide

Animal Bite: 1800 block of Hollindale Drive, 2/26/12, 4:30 p.m. The victim was walking on a trail when she crossed a man walking two dogs on leashes. One dog lunged at the victim. When she got home the victim realized the dog caused a puncture wound and tore her jacket.

Animal Bite: 5600 block of Southhampton Drive, 2/27/12, 3:50 p.m. The adult victim was walking on the sidewalk when a dog charged and allegedly bit him. The dog owner was charged with expired rabies certificate.
