Fair Oaks Police Log: Feb. 23-29

For the week ending Feb. 29, there were two major incidents and 10 larcenies included in the Fair Oaks District Activity Report. Fair Oaks District encompasses Oakton.

Major Incidents — Fair Oaks

Indecent Exposure: 13000 block of Fair Lakes Shopping Center, 2/25/12, 5:45 p.m. Store employees reported that someone allegedly exposed himself in an aisle where children were present. Jerome A. Fleming, 60 of Centerville, was arrested and charged with simulated masturbation.

Burglary: 3400 block of Jermantown Road, 2/29/12, 4:30 p.m. The victim reported someone entered the home and took jewelry and electronic equipment. Forced entry was made through the front door.

• 11200 James Swart Drive, miscellaneous items from residence
• 11800 Larry Road, guitar from residence
• 11600 Monument Drive, varied merchandise from business
• 3900 Penderview Drive, vehicle parts from vehicle
• 12100 Polo Drive, vehicle part from vehicle
• 13200 Pressmont Lane, tools from vehicle
• 12000 Ridge Knoll Drive, dashboard from vehicle

Animal Control Division — Countywide

Animal Bite: 1800 block of Hollindale Drive, 2/26/12, 4:30 p.m. The victim was walking on a trail when she crossed a man walking two dogs on leashes. One dog lunged at the victim. When she got home the victim realized the dog caused a puncture wound and tore her jacket.

Animal Bite: 5600 block of Southhampton Drive, 2/27/12, 3:50 p.m. The adult victim was walking on the sidewalk when a dog charged and allegedly bit him. The dog owner was charged with expired rabies certificate.
