For the week ending Dec. 28, there were six larcenies included in the Fair Oaks District Activity Report. Fair Oaks District encompasses Oakton.

Burglar/Arrest: Police detained a 14-year-old and a 16-year-old boy for their alleged involvement in an attempted burglary around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 24 at a home in the 5600 block of Willow Valley Road. Both juveniles were released to their parents. Charges are pending further investigation.

  • 11700 Fair Oaks Shopping Center, purse stolen from business
  • 12300 Falkirk Drive, license plate stolen from vehicle

  • 10700 Spruce Street, laptop computer and cash stolen from residence
  • 3300 Willow Crescent Drive, gifts stolen from vehicle
