For those who would like to be more active with their local police department, we have our Auxiliary officers. They do much of the same work we officers do on the street. They are just not paid. Their work is invaluable! You could also assist the local station by joining the CAC (Citizens Advisory Council). They do many functions for the officers at the local stations, such as Officer of the Month Awards, luncheons and holiday parties for the officers.
